📣 🚨 WANTAGE & GROVE NHPT 🚨 📣
On Friday 11th September, our dynamic duo teamed up with colleagues from Oxford, Didcot and Faringdon NH teams for a little Friday night adventure. Now, we don't know if the other teams name their vehicles, or if that's just something weird we do… 🤔
If they don't, they really should. 😂 Feel free to ask them next time you see them.
We think Mitsy and Beaver need some competition. 👀 Anyway… back to the operation.
The plan was simple: sit up, watch the traffic and use our old-fashioned copper's intuition to spot the wrong 'uns. 🚔
And well…
Things escalated rather quickly. 😂 Within around 90 minutes, we had: 🚔 Two males arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.
Their vehicle had no insurance and was seized. The driver was also arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs and is awaiting blood results before a charging decision.
Although, when you've got white powder all around your face, you're probably not going to win the argument that you've never touched drugs. 🤦 🚔 Another driver arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug — with that vehicle also seized. 🚔 A third vehicle seized for having no insurance.
That's THREE vehicles off the road. 🚗🚗🚗 But then came the bit we definitely couldn't have scripted…
While watching the traffic, officers spotted a male who was completely unrelated to our operation.
He was also wanted by police. 👀
Well… we couldn't exactly ignore that, could we?
Arrested. 🚔
He was also found carrying drugs, and another gentleman was dealt with for possession. So, what started as:
“Fancy a little Friday night operation?”
Ended with:
👮 Multiple arrests
💊 Drugs seized
🚗 3 vehicles seized
❌ No-insurance offences
🚔 A wanted male located
🤝 Four NH teams working together
We're beginning to think Mitsy and Beaver aren't actually allowed out unsupervised anymore. 😂 Huge thanks to our colleagues from Oxford, Didcot and Faringdon NH teams for joining us. Another great example of what happens when neighbourhood teams work together, share information and put resources in the right places. 👮
